6 months DD loved the cat/dog/pig thing that hung from teh baby einstien activity mat. We had to take that thing everywhere!
Reg toys-her favs FP learning home, FP baby grand piano and the Leap Start Music table.
At 18 months old now she still plays with the FP Learning home.

I got that at my baby shower for DS...all the little kids have it and love it.

we have had this thing for a few months and he still loves it. First, he loved the noises, then noticed the tractor's eyes go up and down...now when we play trucks we leave the animals at different stops and pick them up later the best 8.00 I have spent.
ETA: I picked up a tip at a storytime that we attend. The lady reads brown bear...then pulls out a canvas bag with different animals in it and does a visual reading with the kids pulling an animal out of the bag. So I use these 3 animals plus others laying around the house to do that with him.

The pretty simple stuff. Now that he sits up really well, he loves to sit on the floor and have you roll a ball to him. He also likes the little FP pail of shapes that you put the different color/sized pieces into the same hole to get them in the bucket--he doesn't understand what the toy is all about yet, but the pieces are just the right size for him to pick up one in each hand and drop one and pick up another when he sees a more interesting color or shape. He also loves those stackable cups that have holes in the bottom for water to come out in different patterns--he never wants to get out of the bath now.

Forgot to add - he hasn't had a binky since he was 2 weeks old - I recently gave him one to play with and he loves it!!! He chews on it all over - its the funniest thing - he puts the handle in his mouth and lets it hang there!!!

we got this and it is great has 4 balls in it and she follows them on the floor!!!!

She loves this little panda rattle and a Sassy mini piano that also has teething stuff on it. She also LOVES her exersaucer.
But, basically anything that will fit into her mouth makes her happy.
