What if I don't remeber the day of my LMP?
Sorry if I am posting too much, but this was quite unexpected and I am coming to realize I do not know squat about what to expect.
I am going to the gyn for my first visit today & I thought the date of my LMP was 9/8, but DH says it could not be since he remembered I got it in a Sunday. He remembered because I was crany while he was watching sports. I am pretty sure I know when I conceived, since we were away & doing lots of BD.
How can I calulate a due date or give my Dr. a more accurate date for my appoinmtent? Is there a way to calculate from the date of conception?
Also, when do we do the first ultrasound?

dont worry give the doc whatever info you know... he'll be able to tell you how far along you are as well as your due date based on the size of the baby from the sonogram.... pending your doc....many docs do sonos first visit.

Yep, at the first visit you'll probably get a sono, and they can tell. When I had my first appt. I was 8 weeks and 4 days, the baby measured at 8 weeks and 2 days. (The difference in days is no big deal)

OK I just found a predictor by conception & it shows by due date as June 8th, 2007, which puts me at a solid 6w. I am only meeting with the nurse practitioner today, so I will not be getting a sono yet, but I think that I told her my LMP was a week later than it actually was, so she thinks I am only 5w4d?
Wow & I thought I was neurotic during the wedding planning

I didn't know my date either. My cycle was all messed up from going off BCP. My dr. did and internal ultrasound to get my due date. It was no problem. He did that the day after the blood test came back positive. He wanted to do the U/S right away because my pg hormone levels were very high according to the blood test.

an approx. date is enough. with my first child, i wasn't sure...could've been the15th-18th of that month. the doc. went with the 15th. it's just a guide anyway.

I think we may have the same DOC. We are pretty sure it was the 14th or 15th of September.

No, it was just an internal ultrasound. I don't remember any spotting from that.

I spotted a little after my internal sono- my doctor told me as soon as she finished that it was a possibility, so when it happened later I wasn't surprised.

Ah, thank you. Since I have already has spotting (which the Dr. thinks was just old blood) I am a little nervous about it.
