We were given similac advance in the hospital, but DS had a lot of gas on it. Ped told us to switch to Enfamil Gentlease- so much better.

We supplemented when DS was young. My family has a history of milk allergies so at first we skipped right over the milk based formula and our ped had us use alimentum (DS is the 10th grandchild, the other 9 ALL had to go on alimentum so it was a safe bet). Once when we ran out of it DH gave him the milk based we had rec'd as samples ...he was allergic.

We were able to get him on Isomil (soy formula, although he had issues of constipation on the Isomil) before I was able to switch him to being EBF.

Enfamil LIPIL..........had a ton of samples so I chose that over Similac.

After a few months I switched to the Target brand version of Enfamil. It's HALF the price. $11.69/can is waaaaaaaaaaay better than $25/can!!

DD received Similac Advance at the hospital and did really well on it so we have just stuck with it.

We use Similac - that's the one our pediatrician recommended and what DD was given in the hospital.

I use Good Start with DD. She had problems tolerating regular Similac and Similac Sensitive but does great with Good Start.

Similac advanced b/c thats what they started her with in the hospital.

The hospital chose Similac Advanced for us as well. Unfortunately, it was making DD very constipated. Our ped switched us to Gentlease.

the hospital had her on Enfamil and she was spitting up a LOT...so AT the hospital - we changed to Similac and it got better...(we were in the hospital for 12 days keep in mind).

got home and she was horrible, gassy, lurching off of me - not pooping...so my gut said to try the soy sample that i had...and it changed within 2 days...she was MUCH happier...

we're using Similac Isomil Advanced and she's doing very well with it!

I prefer to use Organic formula. I don't like the pesticides and GMOs that are used in regular dairy. We used Earth's Best once I was done with breastfeeding. Another good brand is Baby's Only Organic.

I used to order the formula from Diapers.com - they had the best prices I could find. Occasionally Amazon would run sales and I'd get it there.
