What flavor cake/frosting do you get for birthday cakes?
Should I get boring vanilla cake for everyone?
Is that safest?
I LOVE cake. I'm afraid of ordering flavors everyone won't like.

we did 2 tiers.
one was vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and cream and the other tier was chocolate with cookies and cream filling.
we figured that people either like chocolate - so they'd like one tier.... and if they didn't, they'd like the other.

I usually do an icecream cake because everyone seems to enjoy it. For DS 1st birthday I'm going to skip traditional cake and do a dessert buffet.

I'm doing a few... LOL...
The main cake is a panda (an actual sitting panda HA) which will be fudge chocolate. He will be sitting on top of a 9' round 2 layer cake, which will be vanilla with strawberries. Then I'm making 2 more cakes (b/c it's gotta be enough to serve 70 people LOL) one will be vanilla, and the other chocolate. mmm mm mmm! lol

the last few cakes we did were chocolate cake with half fresh bananas and half fresh strawberries. sometimes i do whipped cream, and sometimes i do butter cream. everyone seemed to like this!
