You could buy his communion suit. I have my goddaughters communion and I am giving money and a pair of earrings that are her birthstone. I was going to buy her communion dress but my mom wanted to do it.

I got my godson a Communion set from a religious store. It has a prayer book, a set of rosary beads with a case, some prayer cards, etc. It is something that all the kids in my family got growing up and my sister asked if I could get it for him.
I also gave him $$$

thats a really cute idea, Lenox has really nice ones. I would also check with the sponsor of the child, they might be getting for them.

In my family from the godparents for communion traditionally it's jewelry (ring, necklace, cross etc) and rosary beads with a childrens keepsake bible.
For my communion from my godparents i got my nameplate, a bracelet and my rosary and bible.
