the angel wings are a tribute to my nona, who is my guardian angel
the tribal is an original piece that DH & I & our best friend all drew. DH has it engraved in his wedding band & is going to get it tattooed around his ring finger.
I have a Crow from the movie, that's pretty self-explanatory
I have a dragon hatching from its shell from an old Celtic legend
the others I just drew & liked so I got them as tattoos.

I have a phoenix on my shoulder blade and it symbolized what I was going though at that point in my life (the phoenix rising from it's ashes and starting a new life).

my fairy doesnt have any meaning, it was my first and i just thought it was pretty
i have a kanji and i knew i wanted the symbol for "girl/woman"
my wings represent to me that i have earned my wings and was on my own, etc
my dh name is self explanitory
the pearl jam thing is self explanitory
my olivia qoute because the song means alot to me and she is my fave singer... i knew i wanted something from her... her music got me thru some tough times
my gun i really liked and thought it could be a good semi-memorial type tattoo for aileen wuornos... but really by that to me it means the injustice in our system
'mom' on my wrist... self explanitory...
im getting a rose soon too which means 'grace' and i really think that is a good one for me

My first is kanji for "woman"...I got it around the time of my first ProChoice March on Washington in '92.
My second is kanji for "inner strength"...it reminds me of how I survived the rougher times in my life.
My last is a tribal ribbon of sorts...no meaning other than I got it with my best friend.
I want to get one on my wrist - sort of a modified infinity symbol.

I have a big butterfly on my lower back with 6 little butterflys around it and they are landing on a sunflower. I have a starfish on my foot. They dont mean anything, I just love butterflys and sunflowers. The starfish I may cover up with something else.

3 out of 4 mean absolutely nothing more than a design I liked. The tattoo below is a combination of three astrological signs. The Capricorn was my father's sign. The Sagitarius is my Mom's sign and Leo is mine. My parents' signs are smaller but in proportion to mine to show that I came from them. I brought the designs to the artist and he put them together.

I want to get one after my surgery to cover up the scar! Has anyone had this? I was thinking a phenoix but this is becoming to common!! I want something that symbolizes my years of pain and hopes of a better future!!

my cross with a rose is a matching tattoo my mom and I got together.
My dolphin is my sorority mascot. His face, faces my back so I think of it as he is watching by back
winnie the pooh and elmo with the building blocks, the blocks have my sorority letters, and I love winnie the pooh and elmo.
My Ankh with the flames because I love Ankh's. They are the egyptian symbol for eternal life.
When we come up to NY we may get more ink. I want to get celtic knot band around my dolphin
