What do you get for your grandparents for the holidays?
My grandparents have EVERYTHING and ANYTHING that they could possibly want or need and it makes it nearly impossible to get them something "unique" for Christmas! They also constantly go on vacations and go to NYC for dinner and shows so something like that isn't really a big deal for them. I'm not looking to spend a tremendous amount but I would like to do something nice. Any ideas?

My grandparents have everything that they could ever want or need...and every christmas and Birthday is so hard to buy for them
this year...I had a 11x14 picture printed (of the family) and had it framed and Im getting them a GC for King Kullen.  Not that they need me to give them $$ for groceries but I think they would appriciate this.

That's really sweet of you. I was thinking of doing something w/one of my wedding photos for them.

Usually family photos or gift cards to restaurants.
My grandmother once told me to buy her things that I really liked because they would just be mine again in a few years anyway.

I usually get them food. I make my grandma up a gourmet gift basket of her favorite foods...
For my grandparents in FL I'll send them Omaha steaks...

just being there for the holidays is gift enough for her
she doesn't need or want anything
I am making a few side dishes this year to help out-
like I said before- my family isn't into the younger members giving gifts to the older members- it's just not done

My grandparents have passed on but Mikes parents are still around. I refuse to get them anything because When I do they wrap it up and give it to someone else and they don't even hid it by giving it to someone I don't know. They give it like my SIL 
Oh ya and then she goes through her closet to find a pocketbook she doesn't want for me

I've found that food and photos are usually a hit.
DH's grandma is pretty hip on fashion & beauty but if she really wants it, she'll buy it herself. I discovered an entire closet full of beauty products in gift packages when I stayed with her last year. She tried to get me to take some but I also have more lotion, hand cream, manicure sets, etc than I have room for!
