What Do I Really Need as Far as Medicines, Changing Table Supplies, etc.

I just had my shower and got tons of stuff, but my question is - what do I really need?

Especially regarding medicines, first aid stuff, changing table supplies, etc.

well i have,the diapers,wipes,a-d ointment,desitan,cotton balls,q-tips,baby oil,lotions,baby bath,baby shampoo,baby powder,tylonel,(i was told they cant have Motrin until 6 months old) little noses(it's saline water spray for their noses)nose sucky,themomater,neosporin,hydracordsion.


i need to fix him his own first aid kit.

Disposable changing table pads. They are a life saver.

baby oil ( i used that when she had cradle cap), diaper rash cream, diapers, baby hairbrush/comb, diaper caddy (love mine holds everything), baby lotion, wipes, rubbing alcohol for umbilical cord, q-tips, cotton balls.

medicines - baby tylenol, baby motrin (peds said not to use until a bit older), childrens bendryl. Peds said thats all i would need right now.

eta: i didnt use wipes until she was a few months old. when she was a newborn i used wet papertowels.

On the changing table in the diaper basket all I have are diapers, wipes, A&D lotion (put it on every diaper to prevent diaper rash) and the little blue scented bags for poop diapers.

Then I had baby tylenol, mylicon drops, and the little noses saline for the stuffed up noses.

That's all you'll need in the beginning IMO!

Oh - cotton to clean the umbilical cord -and q-tips to clean their ears.
