The main thing you need to care about in Westbury is the school district. Westbury is a large town, so houses can be in the Carle Place, East Meadow, or Westbury school districts.
You want Carle Place or East Meadow. Westbury school district is terrible.
I've lived in Westbury, on the border of Carle Place for 3 years now. I think it's great-- good commute to NYC, close to everything. In fact we just bought our second house there, just a half mile or so from our old house!

Great area, just not great schools. I grew up there and our parents sent us all to Catholic school. Centrally located to just about everything.
