Weekend trip with the girls - would you go?
a couple of girlfriends want to do a weekend trip out to Montauk. I casually mentioned it to DH and he said "go ahead, have fun".
I was thrilled beyond belief! Now DH is saying that during that weekend, he will take DS to his parents so his mom can help him watch.
I love MIL, so that's not the issue. My concern is that DH is going to totally ditch DS in his mom's hands and go off fishing or whatever with his buddies. I would feel bad if MIL was left watching DS all weekend and that FIL would feel like I ditched my son off on them.

If grandma would enjoy the weekend with her grandson and son being home - I say go for it!

I've always wondered why the men need "help" with it when us women do it all alone all the time  As long as you are comfortable with your IL's watching your DC for the weekend and they don't mind, I would go and have fun!!

TOTALLY GO HOLLY!!! I am going this weekend up to the Jersey shore (Friday-Sunday) and my mom is watching Athan. GO AND HAVE FUN!!! As long as your MIL doesn't mind - I am sure she would LOVE To watch Frankie - GO AND HAVE A BLAST!!!!

I would go but make clear arrangement with DH that he is not to dump your DC on MIL.

I would go. I just did this last weekend. DH took DS to hang out with 3 older women family friends who basically watched him. I guess it made his life easier for a few hours. I wasnt mad.
