We need tips on hanging outdoor holiday lights
This is the first time we'll be doing it and we are clueless. What do you use to hang them - nails or hooks or something? My parents only ever decorated the front windows from the inside and his parents never hung any. So we have no one to guide us.

My DH hangs them from the gutter with hooks we got in Target!

We use a staple gun!

Be careful using a staple gun - you don't want to have the power of the staple gun force the staple to cut the insulation on the wire creating an opening.
Don't the big C-9 bulbs have a clip that slips on the gutter or up under the shingles to hold them in place?

We put the C-9 bulbs along the gutter using gutter clips from any store (Target, Walmart, HomeDepot)
