We got a crib! And I hate everyone who works at BRU!!!

So, the good news is that DH and finally got our butts to BRU and found a crib that we both really liked and was in our price range.

So, they tell us they have one in stock and we go up to the front and pay for it. They get someone to go get it and DH and I are just waiting. Turns out the one they had was in a damaged box. So, we have to back to the funiture desk and the nasty lady tells us we can either order it and pick it up in store in 7-14 days OR we can pick it up in Union, NJ (we live on SI, thats about 20 minutes from us) so we say we will pick it up. She proceeds to deal with ANOTHER problem (they gave someone a crib instead of a changing table) while we are still sitting there and it takes her 40 minutes to call the New Jersey store. THEN she tells us we have to back up to the front, get a refund and then go to NJ and pay again.

We get to the front and wait on the guest services line, THEN the guy working there has to fine the nasty furniture lady to make sure he is supposed to give us a refund . So, we finally get out money back and it is too late to make it to Jersey, so DH has to go this morning before work.

I'm so sorry, what an ordeal!!

You have the patience of a saint. i would have ranted and raved, got a refund and left after of course i spoke to the manager.

I used to work in retail for awhile, and it's awful to be in that business sometimes, but that's just inexcusable and rude.

So have both DH and I. Which is why we were not throwing a fit (like the other people who had the crib instead of the changing table)

I do feel bad for people who work retail, especially when they seem to be understaffed, but MAN, what an ordeal
