Sorry but I just had to laugh
Made my 20week sono appt. Since I am working hard to keep all my vacation and sick days intact it’s a 4pm appt in Huntington with a 6pm appt with my Doctor in Commack.
The lady tells me I need to drink 32oz of water and HOLD it one hour before the test. I know its necessary and all but it just makes me laugh. Do they not know we are pregnant? I have to pee once an hour now and you want me to HOLD it was I take a train and then a car to get to you?!??! LOL sure thing sweetie.. I’ll be a jumping Mexican bean laying on that table though.
Worse yet, they BETTER not be late!
Or they can mop up the puddle themselves!!!
Dunno maybe I'm in a good mood since I'm back from vacation but this just makes me smile! haha

that would be impossible for me even if I weren't pregnant....
that's an odd request.... at my ultrascreen, they actually made me pee so my bladder would shrink and the baby would be able to get out of the twisted position it was in.......

same here! i think it depends on the kind of machines they have... the sono techs always make me pee beforehand and they always get great shots (with both internal and external sonos)

Yeah I think it depends on the machine.
I go to Madonna Perinatal and they must have pretty new machines because they always make me, as the tech puts it, "empty my bladder" and I get good shots.

I go to Ny presbyterian and they also have me go in with a full bladder so they can get overall pics of the uterus and then they have me empty so the can take pics of the baby.
