Want to share my amazing 1st time home-buying experience so far!!
When we started looking at houses over the summer, we never thought we would find a nice house in a great school district for a decent price...And after hearing about other peoples home buying experiences, we were dreading it...So, we are now in contract on a great house in a great school district...Our offer was immediately accepted with no counter offer or bidding war...The owner of the house is a truly amazing woman who wanted to make sure she found the right people to buy her house since she had so many happy memories there...Well, the REA calls us last night to tell us that the owner wants to leave a few things as gifts for us...The couch, loveseat, barbeque and guest room furniture! Not to mention that all things are in mint condition and barely used! We are floored at the generosity of this stranger! She could easily sell these things and get some money but she would rather leave them for us...This whole experience has been truly amazing!

Maybe at the closing, you can offer her a bottle of wine, or something as a token gift as she starts her new life in a new home.
