Walk Like Madd
This is MADD's second annual walk (formerly Strides For Change).
In July 2001 my childhood friend was killed by a drunk driver on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown. His name was Steve Bosco, he was only 20 years old. His death was a shock to us all. He was an unbelievable friend. Always willing to help and give his time and heart to whoever needed it. He was the glue to our group of high school friends. His killer will be going free this summer, and although we were able to get his parole denied everytime it came up, there is nothing we can do to keep him in jail.
In 2005 another friend of mine from high school, Karinda, was killed in a car crash on the Southern State when the driver of the car she was riding in lost control. The driver was drunk and they both died. She was such a sweetheart.
No one's friends or family should have to go through the hurt and pain of losing someone they love because of someone else's bad decision.
Please join the walk either as an individual walker or start a team. Help stop this epidemic. If you aren't able to walk, think about donating to someone who is walking.

We did the walk last year and we are doing it again this year!!!! My brother was killed by a drunk driver in 2002. We would love for there to be a bigger turn out this year

I was thinking the same thing, last year wasn't a bad turn out for it being the first year and not very publicized. I got my old high school's SADD club involved this year too, I'm really excited!
