2014's Tackiest Prom Dresses — Yes, They're Really That Bad
Plunging necklines, bustier bodices, super-short hemlines, and thigh-high slits used to constitute the raciest prom dresses, and even back then you could maybe twist mom or dad's arm for approval. But trust us when we say there isn't enough double-sided tape in the world to make many of this year's gowns look classy. Prom attire has officially reached a whole new level of tacky, with neon ombre tulle, overstuffed peplums, tiers of taffeta, and sheer panels and cutouts that leave little to the imagination (not exactly ideal for dresses being marketed to teenage girls). That last one looks like Tinkerbell. I can't believe parents would actually buy these dresses for their daughters . . . or that the schools would allow them to attend prom dressed like that! My HS had strict rules about what was permitted.

got that right! yahoo has the prices. they range from $148 to over $1000. the 5th pic, the jovani (girl with high bun) is $1,093.

The first Jovani is a knock-off of a super expensive wedding dress designer (each dress is $10k - $20k or even more). Can't remember the designer's name but I know Kleinfeld's works with her. Each of her dresses is an original.
