Virus going around??? Only a fever...
DS has had a low fever since Saturday (about 100.5 or lower). The Dr. said his throat is red and it is viral. He has no other symptoms really. I have a few friends whose kids are going through the same. I don't know what to expect from this... It's been 3 days and the fever hasn't broken. Anyone's DC have the same?

my almost 1 year old just had exactly what you explained just last week. Hers lasted 3 days.
Hang in there, it should be done soon.

My DD had a virus 2 weeks ago. High fever 103-105 for 4 days or so. Then she broke out in a rash, turned out to be roseola. No other symptoms

same! Watch for the rash -- it will probably come in a day or so.

My friends son had it the week after Memorial day. Had a low grade fever for 2 days and a minor sore throat. He missed 3 days of school.

maybe the adult version is worse. I had a fever on and off for a week. with sore throat and now is only a cough. my dr tested and said it was only viral. yuck!!!

My son has it now too! 101 fever since sunday night and sore throat. Dr. said its viral.

My DS had a fever of 102 for 3 days straight last week. I alternated Motrin with Tylenol twice a day and the fever eventually broke.
His Ped said there is a summer virus going around.

DD had "fever virus" a couple of weeks ago. It went around her daycare. She had high fevers, sometimes up to almost 105 for about 4 or 5 days. That was her only symptom.

My son used to get that ALL the time. His only symptom would be the fever. Sometimes it would last up to 5 days. Usually low grade. Just have to ride it out

Fever has finally broke after almost 5 days... seems to have progressed into an infection though - runny nose and cough. I can't take it anymore!!!

I took my son to the dr. on monday - did strep test, rapid test came back negative, then they jsut called - positive for strep! What a waste of 3 days he could have been on antibiotics! ugh!

My DD was just diagnosed with Coxsackie, so that has a range of symptoms.
