vinyl siding?
any recommendations?
We are looking to get the top of our house vinyl sided and we are looking for some recommendations. Is there a season that is better/cheaper than others to get this done?
Does anyone have any general prices?

The best thing to do is get a couple of estimates from various installers. They all use different material so pricing will vary. If you can find out what material/manufacture they use you can call places such as, ABC Supply and Allied Building. They carry most major brands. You can at least get the cost to determine what installers are charging you.
If you plan to install it yourself the above places as well as Home Depot or Lowes have the material. You would obviously need to know how to determine the amount needed based on your home dimensions.

Thank you for the information.
I guess I should have been more specific, I was looking for names and numbers of companies that install vinyl siding, especially if someone has used someone they were happy with.

My parents used King Quality and they were very happy with the service, quality of the product and installation. They had a very good experience.

King Quality quoted me 14,000 for my siding which in the end was done by Alure for 6,000 and change. 
Both companies have been around for a while. I'm not sure where King Quality got those figures.

I was very happy with Eastsiders. They have a showroom on Middle COuntry Road in Selden and one in Patchogue. Two cousins inherited the business from their dads (brothers).
