Video camera?
I am looking to buy a camcorder but don't know anything about them.
I guess they are digital now? Do they take tapes, or cards like my digital camera?
Any recommendations?

They have a camcorder that records right onto a mini dvd. You can then pop it into your dvd player. It's so much easier than connecting all those wires to watch a video. We bought my parents the Sony camcorder with that feature.

we just received a JVC Digital from my sister....it does the tapes and has a memory card for still shots. We can download to the computer with certain software and burn to a DVD

I got the sony DVD cam from my sister for my bridal shower- I love it! Our whole wedding was taped with it and you couldn't tell it wasn't done by a professional(thanks to my mom's friend who did a great job). It takes mini dvd's which last 30 minutes are about 3.50 each. Sound is amazing- our band sounded like it was live in the room- no sound distortion at all.
