Very cranky newborn - need advice!

My 3 week old baby is always cranky when she is awake. This gets especially worse at night, to the point in which some nights, she screams for 4 hours without being able to calm her. Last night, she even cried through feedings, screaming as soon as my breast touched her lips. I know this is typical colic, but has anyone had any success with any techniques or products? My DH and I are exhausted!

I know you are breast feeding so you should keep a log of what you eating. It may be causing some of her colic.

Try mylecon, although it does not work for every child. Does she like the vibrating chair? The movement can help with the colic. They also have something that can hook up to the crib to make it vibrate.

There is also grip water which worked for my friends dd. We tried everything. So those are some things that may help.

Good luck

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon My DD was SOOOO colicky! The Happiest Baby tips worked some but not all that much. She basically screamed every waking minute for months. I wish there was a fix for this. My DD had reflux too, so working with her doctor and ped. gasto. helped that, which calmed her some but not totally. By 4 months there was improvement but it wasn't until 6 months that things were really better. I wish you all the strength!

Ugh this was my daughter for the first month of her life. She wound up having formula issues, but I know you are BFing. Is she having the right number of wet/dirty diapers? Maybe she is not getting enough? If she is getting enough it could be a lactose allergy.

word!

We have been using these techniques since the hospital and they work like a charm.

Once you have taken gas, hunger, burping, changing out of the equation-- these things really work to help calm the baby.
