verizon cell phone users-
Do you have to put in a password everytime you listen to voicemail? I just got verizon last weekend and can't figure out how to save the password so I don't have to enter it each time. Does anyone know?

I think my DH found a way to do this - I will have to ask him about it.
I always just used a short password.

i have verizon and my speed dial for voice mail is #1
I just look in the phone and it is set up as such
speed dial 1
*86 (p) #### (####=password)
I dont know how you get (p) but maybe it is the # sign

I just called, DH said that he will show me later tonight (he's tired - he's been at work since yesterday at 9 a.m. ) I will have to post the instructions later tonight or tomorrow, unless someone beats me to it.

That (p) is probably send. That's what I do - *86 send then 4 digit password then #.
It's really easy.

Ok DH showed me how to do this.
The poster above had the right idea.
We have LG phones, but he said it's pretty much the same on other brands, too.
Make a contact *86 insert two pauses (on LG phones this can be done under the options feature) then your password followed by #.
(ex., so if your password is 1234, you would set it up as *86 (pause) (pause) 1234#)
Then associate a speed dial to the number.

That is the best thing EVER!!! It always drives me nuts when I have my hands free set in and can voicedial, but then need to flip open my phone and punch in the password. Many thanks to you and your DH!!!!
