So if you recall, DH insisted we wait till after New Year's to list our house because our realtor told us that listing during the holidays was pretty much a waste and our house would get 'stale'. Well don't you know, the house around the block from us (slightly smaller house) went to contract on 12/24. That could have been us. They will be closing by the end of this month. JEALOUS.
ARGH.

ugh - that does stink...did they get a good price?
if they did - it will be good for you to have a good comp
if they didn't - well then at least you didn't have to sell for a bad price

If it's any consolation, we just bid asking for a house today that was on the market less than a week!  Things are moving quickly when they are priced right!

Awesome! This one went in less than two months and one that was a development over went in less than 3 weeks (but it was priced VERY low - not a comp that I wanted!)
