Vacation Suggestions
DH and I are looking to go away over Columbus day weekend to a beach destination. We really want an all-inclusive. Any suggestions? We initially wanted DR but are afraid of Hurricanes. Then we thought about Aruba but everyone suggests not to do all-inclusive in Aruba. For me, all-inclusive is a must have because I know I will worry about every penny I spend and I just want to relax and enjoy myself. Any suggestions, thoughts, ideas?

how many days are you going for? if its just for the long weekend, i would suggest the caribbean bc of the short flights. if you have some time, mexico has some beautiful all inclusives!

We are probably going to go from Wednesday until Sunday or Monday.
Where in Mexico is outside of the hurricane belt besides cabo? How far is cabo?

We stayed at an AI in Aruba and loved it! We stayed at the Tamarijn. It's the sister property of the Divi and you can use both properties while you are there. I just wanted a completly relaxing vacation and not have to worry about anything and it was just perfect. When I go on vacation, it's not to eat out. It's for the beach, the sun and the drinks. The Tamarijn offered all of this.
We went out to eat one night and it was nice but, I love AI's.
The flight wasn't that bad. I think it was 5 hours direct. It was an early morning flight so we got there and still had most the day. I think if you go for 5 days, you'll be fine.

Cabo is on the western coast of mexico and i believe that there aren't any direct flights there (if that's a deal breaker for you.) i'm pretty sure that most of mexico, if not all, is in the hurricane belt. maybe try st. lucia? they have a chance of hurricanes but are very far south of the belt, the outskirts of it. there are two or three sandals properties there.
