URGENT!!!! Please read and pass on to anyone you think might be interested!
Please Help Me Find My Forever Home
BEFORE OCTOBER 28th….
I am scheduled to be Euthanized
If No one wants me.
My Name Is Iceberg.
I am a 15-month-old male Siberian Husky.
My foster parents rescued me in April, from the Staten Island shelter for the local Siberian Husky Rescue. However, I do not get along with my foster brother and sister. So my foster parents brought me to the Smithtown Animal Shelter.
I am up to date on shots, and have been altered, plus I have a microchip. My foster parents have taught me how to sit, and down. I am working on stay—it is hard though, I have so much energy, who wants to sit still. My foster siblings have even taught me how to swim! I sleep in my crate at night, and tug on my leash when I have to go “potty”. My foster parents say that I am a good boy for doing this. I love treats, especially Milk bones and greenies.
My foster parents say that my forever family should have a big fenced in yard so I can run around.
A note from his foster parents:
Please, please, please, take Iceberg home with you. Iceberg is a wonderful dog, unfortunately our two dogs do not get along with him. He will do wonderful with in a home with no other animals and no small children. If you think he would be a perfect forever dog for your family please call the Smithtown Animal Shelter at 631 360 7575 ASAP. Because he is aggressive with other animals he is deemed un-adoptable and is scheduled to be euthanized on October 28th. You can also call us if you have any questions at 631 979 1002 or 516 318-7467.

I had a husky growing up and I am devasted to think this baby may be euthanized 
If I didn't have two boys already ...
Can I ask why he wasn't taken back by the SH rescue?

I actually got good news. I spoke with a woman who does a lot of work in Smithtown Shelter and he is being picked up today by rescue!

Awwwe - I know my husband would love him. But we have a cat and aren't ready for anything larger - or more work. I wish he didn't need a home w/o other animals, b/c I'm sure my FIL would probably love him (not sure if MIL would love ANOTHER dog though )
I'm glad he's gone back to the shelter.

Whew. I am so happy to hear he was rescued. It would have made me sad for days...I always carry this stuff with me

I am so happy he was rescued. The second I read this I called mom to ask if my dad would want a dog like that (his dog passed away unexpectedly this summer)...he has had a malamute and a lab/pit mix so i know he loooooves big dogs. But he has emphysema and only one lung so we dont want him having any more huge animals who shed a lot but I know he would have loved this dog! When my mom said no..I was heartbroken
I am sooooooooooooo happy he has been saved!!!!!!!!!!!!!
