Updated with a new question-What is your opinion on upholstered headboards?
Im so torn. One day I love them the next day, not so much. What do you think?

How do we feel about leather upholstered headboards? DH hates the regular fabric tufted headboards but doesnt mind the leather ones. Im willing to compromise but are they too trendy?

I would like one but I'm worried about little grubby handprints and/or dust sticking to it.

Love the look and style.
Would NEVER have one.
Completely impractical in my book. You cannot remove stains. If you have dark color beddings and light color headboard fabric, it might rub on it.
I would concider a leather one.

I have one and love it. Mine is a tan microsuede. I've had it for 4 years and its in excellent condition. I vaccuum it once every week. I'm very happy with it. BTW I bought it at Target.

I love them!
I seriously considered one but wound up getting a wood one. I sort of regret it.
Staining wasn't a concern of mine bc we don't eat in the bedrooms or do anything in there that would cause a stain. Most of them are made with very durable fabric and you could also get fabric protection spray on it.

This is my bed. It took sometime getting use to the platform, i was so use to having a very high bed, but other than that i love it. I have a very messy dog, and have found his muddy paw prints on the side and it came right off with a damp rag. I got it on overstock. Image Attachment(s):

I would do one if i made it myself, like you see all over HGTV, that way i can change the look all the time.
i love them...

I love them... I think they have a very soft feel to them - perfect for a bedroom.
I have a wood set that I looked at forever and we bought it from Macys. I have buyers regret. SHHHHHH - don't tell my DH!!!!!!
If I had the balls to tell my DH I don't like it - I'd get an upholstered one.

I love them, I love not having an entire matching wood set.
But on the other hand my sister has a matching wood bedroom set and its just gorgeous.
I guess i like both

We have one...its microsuede. Haven't really had a problem keeping it clean so far. The only problem is that its high and blocks out half of the window, but I guess that could happen with a wood headboard also

I love them! I SOOOO wanted a satin tufted upholstered headboard for our master bedroom, but DH was hung up on a wood headboard & footboard, so I gave him that "win" (he's pretty much given in to all my other household requests.)
