UPDATE! Anyone want to help me plan an island themed menu for the last episode of LOST?
UPDATE: Oh no! It looks like someone beat me to it and invited us to watch LOST at their place! It's for the better because they have a house and can invite a lot more people than we can. But I'm thinking of making this:

'll make it easy on myself and buy con queso and guac dips and chip and use these labels. That way I save time and it's cute.

I don't watch Lost, but I put "tropical" into my google reader to search through the food blogs.

First thing that came to mind when you said chicken skewers is pineapple on the skewer YUM!
Guacomole dip is Mexican..but can be islandish  plus people generally love it!
Jerk chicken?
Beef patties?
Conch chowder...(not even how easy it is to get conch but everytime I have been on an island it is so popular)
whole grill fish is very popular island food but that would depend on if your guests would like that...

Fun party!
I had a hawaiian party many years ago and some ideas I used...I had a lot of people so I wanted things I can make ahead of time and serve buffet style....
How about Hawaiian Chicken (since the film there)- easy to make ahead and serve so prep is all done when guests arrive. Chicken, peppers, onion, pineapple
Mango Salsa (or even mango chicken)
Coconut rice
Spiral Ham - can call it the boar
Ambrosia for dessert

Other than Magoes, is there anything they eat or is it all fake and darma labeled? This could be a cute idea for dh.
