Hi Lauren,
I just wanted to give you Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
That is good news that you don't have cysts and that SHs sperm count is high.

I'm sorry you are not Oing...but we're luck that in this day and age there are medictions you can take to make that happen!!

So I'm happy you are starting your meds and things will start changing! That is good news!!
I dont know abut the meds but I wish you good luck and lots of baby dust!

Re: Update and Clomid Questions

Well, at least you now have answers. I was put on Clomid last year because I wasnt ovulating either.
I hope everything works out for the both of you. Have they discussed options for you, like IUI??

Re: Update and Clomid Questions

Lauren- that really is good AND frustrating!
It's good to have answers but frustrating to feel like you have to wait. It sounds very hopeful and positive that you WILL have a baby. That goodness for Clomid and that you DH stopped smoking! I'm so glad that you are moving forward in the process!

Hey, even the bad news isnt soo bad. 51 mill is alot and worse case scenario you do IUI where they wash up the sperm and make them swim faster and deposit them closer.

Good luck.

Re: Update and Clomid Questions

Thanks girls.

They said they would do IUI after 3 months of the clomid wasn't working.

They only have me on 50mg but he said that should be enough based on my hormone profile.

Here's hoping!!

But in all seriousness, I actually think that you got more positive news than negative.. I mean sure none of this is GREAT, but at leaste now you know what the next steps are for your journey.. and you know also konw that your doctor seems relatively confident that there are solutions and ways to resolve your present issues for both you and your DH..

I am feeling positive on your behalf and I hope that the Clomid does the trick re: ovulation and that you will be PG in no time!

GOOD LUCK to you!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Update and Clomid Questions

Lauren,
The news isn't that bad. The prometrium/clomid combo isn't too hard to remember either. You start taking provera as soon as you get it and the clomid you start taking on CD 3 or 5 depending on what your doc says. Don't worry, you won't have a problem with remembering.
And as far as twins....I think it would be awesome to have twins!!

Re: Update and Clomid Questions

Hey Lauren!! Just read this - I am busy with a trade show this week and am no where near a computer BUT.......

I think it is GREAT that you now KNOW where you stand, and that you can start some meds. to help get over the hurdles. Glad DH quit smoking -- I gave it up 4 years ago but still sneak one now and then. It's rough...

I wanted to send you lots of Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon and.....wouldn't it be fun if we ALL had twins???? That's what I am hoping for!!!!

Overall, it's PROGRESS and KNOWLEDGE and knowledge is power so....YOU GO GIRL!!

Thanks Gerty - do you know if I stop taking Provera if AF shows up during the 7 days or if I take the full course still??

Re: Update and Clomid Questions

If Af shows up, you stop the provera. That's just used to bring on Af. You want the least amount of progesterone in your body during Af. You want the most amount during LP and of course pregnancy :)
