Ugh! Frustrated with real estate agents!
Do any real estate agents actually take you out anymore to look at houses? Every real estate agent we talk to, tell them we are ready to buy, want something like yesterday and they all go, ok I will email you listings, let me know what you see and all the listings are the same that I find on my own. Ugh, How come everyone else I know has agents taking them out ( I even contacted them and don't get that offer). The listings are all the same..sorry for the vent i'm just so frustrated and depressed about not finding anything.

Are they any specific houses you have in mind that you want to see? Usually a Real Estate Agent will send you listings in the area you are interested in and then go from there, make appointments to go see that house, etc...
What I would suggest is finding a local agent in the area you are looking and ask them if they have anything to show you, sometimes new listings come in and they are not posted yet on MLS. Any home that has been up for sale is going to be on MLS, so it's very common they send you what you have seen already yourself.
When I was looking I went on MLS myself and then told the Real Estate Agent what I was intrested in, but I went our every weekend with her until I found what I wanted.

yeah, i agree they have gotten lazy. no offense to anyone here, but my lady (i'm selling) says "i don't want to make your house look stale by having open houses all the time"
are you kidding? do what you have to to sell my house!

This is what my REA said. Every weekend was a different excuse not to have an open house. Unless someone called her to sched an app't she never saw the need for one. Just make it very clear that you want one every weekend.
