Ugh.....
Tomorrow is my Glucose Test. I am not looking forward to it Just a quick question, as long as the Dr. didn't say it was a fasting test, I can eat before right?

I don't know - I would be careful with what you eat. What time are you taking the test?

Yeah you can, but I don't know that I would. My doctor said it wasn't a fasting test either, but I ate a couple hours before and failed. I ate cereal (cheerios) prior to. I had sugar in my urine when they tested it at the lab (probably from the milk), so I suspect eating made me fail. Also the lab clerk said that if you eat before, you will most likely fail. I did pass the 3 hour though. Good luck!

I think eating prior to the one hour caused me to fail as well. I had to take the 3 hour and passed. I would try not to eat alot of carbs/sugar tonight and try not to eat before the test..

I was told to not eat within two hours of the test...
10:30 test
9:30 drink entire bottle within 5 minutes, chilled but not on ice
8:30 last bite of food
Carbs can result in an increased spike in your blood sugar. Maybe have an egg in the morning?

You can eat before the 1 hr test. If you have to go for the 3 hr, I think you have to fast. My friend just recommened I watch my sugar intake and drink lots of water the day of the test. Good luck!

I had an english muffin before my 1 hour and failed. I actually ate it at 9:00 and my 1 hour test was not until 12:30PM.
I did fine on my 3 hour. If you can try not to eat. Good Luck tomorrow.

My doctor told me I did not need to fast, so I ate breakfast. I had fried eggs and toast. The woman who drew my blood was positive I would fail because of that. Well, she was wrong! I passed.

they say you can eat up to within an hour of the test but I did that each time and failed both times.

I was told I could eat too and failed the 1 hour and all I had was wheat toast. So, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have eaten.
