Tylenol before shots??

My daughter gets her 4 month shots today. She didn't react well to her 2 month shots. She was miserable and so uncomfortable it broke my heart. Someone suggested giving her tylenol before the shots. Has anyone done this? Does it help? and when before the shots? Thank you in advance. Her appointment is at 11:00.

I have always done this...my Dr. told me to give her Tylenol about a 1/2 hour before so far so good she has not had a reaction...I just took her on Friday for a 6 month shots and she did not react

I dont do this. I used to with Emma but her reactions and demenor after the shot didnt make me want to continue it. She got older and much better with the shots. Im not one to medicate unless its really necessary either...

I would give marissa Motrin when we got home from the dr. cuz she would get very cranky and get a slight fever and when I started to give her the motrin she would be her normal self

Whenever I take my kids to get shots I give them tylenol a 1/2 hour before.... just to help with the soreness, makes me feel better

Thank you for your respones. I did give the baby Tylenol before however they didn't want to give her her shots since she had a slight fever last night. The Dr. said it was fine to give her the Tylenol beforehand in the future. Thanks again.

I give Samantha tylonel right after she gets shots but I never did it before.

I give it right before I leave the house. Another trick I use is to give Emily her pacifier and cuddle her during the shots- the pacifier really helps. She barely flinches, let alone cry.
