Twin Mattress/Box Spring?

Hey everyone! So I just ordered furniture for my DD's big girl room from Wayfair. I didn't get the mattress/box spring from there because I didn't want my MIL paying for it (since she wanted to buy her the furniture and it was already expensive enough). I am looking at Mattress Firm and OMG there's so many options. I don't want it to be too thick and tall, so I'm looking at thinner options, probably memory foam (our bed is gel memory foam and SO comfortable) and box springs but I don't know where to start. Can you share where you purchased your mattress and what you got??

Twin Mattress/Box Spring?

Bobs has a great selection

Editing to add we got the low profile box spring for both girls so it’s not high.

I personally would only buy a mattress where I could try it out first. Have you go to the store to try them? The sales person would be able to direct you toward your preferred price range, firmness, etc.

I have not, but I was considering buying my mattress in a twin size since I know it's comfortable, it holds up, it's inexpensive, and my DD likes it. But I wanted to keep my options open.
