Have you and DH always been on the same page as far as when you wanted to start TTC?

Luckily we were. We both have always wanted to be on the younger side when we started. So now with me at almost 25 and DH at 27 we feel like we're still young but also mature enough.

Hmm on and off, I always had baby fever but we both agreed that we will try after one year of marriage and when we get a house, but the house hunting is not that easy and we have been married over a year. He was insisting we wait till we get a house and I finally convinced him that we can still TTC and look for a house. Now that he sees that TTC is not that easy he is glad we started in August. I'm 28 and DH is 34 so he is not getting any younger and he wants a baby as bad as I do. Hopefully in 2010 we have a house and baby! (God willing)

DH and I were ALWAYS on the same page. We've been together for 18 years (since we were 16 years old) and we had our DD just 15 months ago at age 33 so we had PLENTY of time to figure out what we wanted. We always said we wanted 3 children but because we ended up having children later than expected we would be okay with 2 but 3 kids is still on the table.

Yes. We had a long talk last year about when we'd start trying, and decided on this fall.

Yes. We always said we wanted to be married at least 2 years, so we could enjoy that alone time. But we both decided to start trying a little earlier than our 2 year mark. Good thing b/c I didn't realize that my cycles would be wacky off bcp.

not quite- I was ready a little earlier than him but we waited to start until we were both ready

We werent. At first, he didnt even want me to get off the pill to regulate lol!! He kept hearing from his mom, grandmother, and aunt how he should wait and "travel first" so that kind of annoyed me. We travel at least once a year (this year we will travel 2 more times) and just because his mom waited until she was older to have children doesnt mean we have to. Im 27... I dont need her putting her 2 cents in

Anyway- we finally agreed to get off the pill and wait to regulate first. After about 1 week, DH told me that he wanted to have unprotected BD so that we could see what happens and hopefully start a family. Here we are on cycle 2 and nothing so far

I've always wanted children, and so did DH, but we were ready at different times. It was almost funny because we said we'd try once we were married for 1 year. But not long after we got married I had baby fever and although DH wanted kids, he wasn't quite ready. Then my back went out and I was faced with the possibility of another spinal surgery, so TTC was the last thing on my mind, but DH was finally ready. I got clearance from my docs to TTC in January 2008, 4 months after our 1 year anniversary. But I was so scared about my back that it took until July for us to actually start TTC. I think that's why it feels like we've been TTC much longer than we actually have.

Yes, for the most part. I would have happily started ttc on our honeymoon which was about 3 months after our wedding. Dh wanted to wait a few more months so that we could have some married alone time. I was ok with that.

Nope! DH has been baby crazy since shortly after we got engaged. At least that's when he started talking about it. I wanted to wait a few years but right after the wedding I had some health concerns and realized that if we don't have one now we may lose the opportunity to do so naturally.

For the most part.
With TTC for #1 (our DD), I was ready a couple of months before him. For TTC #2, he was actually ready a couple of months before I was.

We both wanted kids but I think I was ready before DH. I was all set for a honeymoon baby but DH didn't want to start after the HM.

Funny thing is as soon as we got home he was all set. He was like ok now lets make babies

I was ready way before him. However, now that he is on board, he's all for it.
