TTC is making me feel STRESSED and CLUELESS

I am trying to relax here- I promised myself I would. But i feel like I am starting to freak.

I am stressing because it is hard enough to conceive when there is no time frame and we have no choice but to work within one.

If we don't conceive by Sept (maybe October- I am still debating) we need to wait a while before we continue because I can't take a full year off from work. I teach and will return to work after 6 or 8 weeks (depending on whether or not I have a C-Section when the time comes.) My time frame for having the baby would be as early as april, and as late as June (July still a debate.) My husband will be a position to take some time off and my mom will be watching the baby, so that comforts me some in the vent that we need to extend the window by one month.

I am so stressed that I can't even figure out where I am in my cycle. I started staining yesterday, so I tested and after a BFN, I know I am out this month. I can't even figure out if today is just still staining or officially CD1 with light flow.

I feel like I have been trying so hard to understand all of the TTC tricks and feel like because of the window, if I am proactive I am increasing our chances.

But now I feel like I am in a panic and I promised myself I wouldn't be and I don't want to panic because the stress is not helpful as we all know.

Sorry to babble and TIA for letting me vent.

I actually feel better and more ridiculous now than anything else and even a little ashamed for freaking after only 1 cycle of trying.

I now just what you mean- I am a teacher, too and I so want to plan everything perfectly.....but the reality is that some things are just out of your hands.

Someone told me when I was explaining my grand plans for when I was going to conceive and give birth (after laughing at me) that you can have all those ideas, but once you see how out of your hands it really is you will realize that you will be fine whenever it happens, and things will fall into place.

What's the worst that could happen if you conceived later- a leave replacement could start the year for you, right? It's not ideal, but in the big scheme of things, it would be okay in the end.

But I am still hoping for you (and me! ) that it happens this summer, because lord knows us teachers love it when things go according to plan!

I am right there with you!! I too am a teacher and last cycle was our first TTC. It didn't work out well for us since I am now CD3. I am hoping beyond hope I am pregnant by September. I agree with a PP though that if not, then oh well! We will just start the year with leave replacements and, yes, that's not great but having a baby WILL be! Good luck to us this cycle and hopefully this won't be a worry for us at all!

I'm obsessed with timing it perfectly too - I want a summer baby for the same reasons! I so know what you're going through. I don't care how many people tell me the same stuff - you can't control it, and whenever it happens, it will work out...yet I'm hellbent on making it work my way!

I am sorry you feel stressed and clueless, i do as well, thank god my best friend is a wealth of baby knowledge, i have a tendency to stress over things that are out of my control and she always reminds me to just take it easy and try not to think about it. Everything will work out for the best, it always does.
