Trying for number 2

I need some guidance. DS is 7 months old and DH and I would like to try for number 2 soon. Only problem is, I've yet to get a full period since his birth. I haven't been back to OB since staples were removed (I know its terrible) so I'm not sure if I should be trying. I did take a test recently but nothing. I fear that it will be much harder to get pregnant since I have nothing to go on. Any advice on how to proceed?

Well I do know that my OB wanted us to wait at least a year post C-section before trying again to decrease the odds of anything going wrong. However, I do know of people who have gotten pregnant sooner than a year and everything went fine. If you're unsure or concerned call you OB/GYN and see them before moving forward with TTC #2.
