Greenport is very nice and on the way out you can stop off at some of the wineries (those that are open now)
There are great little shops and a few great resturauts in Greenport!!!

You can come to my house Kath!! I live in Smithtown!!! You can do laundry and make the bed!! It would be fun!!!!  
Seriously, Montauk is nice although many stores are not open this time of the year!
