Travel system confusion
Can someone explain to me what a travel system is and how it works.
What are the pros/cons?
I assume the alternative is getting a car seat and the stroller you snap the seat into and then a bigger stroller when needed.

A travel system is comprised of a infant carrier/carseat and a stroller. You just snap the carrier in place on the stroller until the baby is old to sit on it's own.
The strollers that come with a travel system tend to be a little bulkier/heavier than other strollers. But on the flip side they tend to be a little cushier and sturdier than some of the lightweight/umbrella strollers.

That sounds about right.
I did not get the travel system. I used the Snap & Go, which I found 100x lighter and easier than snapping the carseat into a whole stroller--and I love my stroller (Pliko P3).
I kinda don't understand why people *don't* get the Snap & Go!

Snap n Go's hold most carseats including Graco Snugrides but NOT the Graco SafeSeats...

We got the travel system. For whatever reason I didn't really consider the Snap & Go. I think it's just personal preference.
Whichever option you choose, I'd go to BRU or BBB and play around with them, to see which you prefer. We got a travel system, but we also spent a lot of time in the store before we chose, wheeling it around, detaching the carrier part, collapsing it, picking it up, etc.
