Today's Water Ultrasound

This post is mostly for Redstar since she gave me lots of advice ....... but anyway, it went well enough. The Dr. said that my uterus looked fine, nice shape, no abnormalities. The lining was very thin, as I am only on CD6. I will be going back 3 DPO for the progesterone test and to get supplments, just in case we manage to fertilize this cycle on our own (Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon ). They did not look at follies as there really isn't anything to see now.

Also spoke with the business office to try and have them advocate with my insurance company. They do NOT have a meds donor program, unfortunately, but I found a pharmacy through lifelines.com that offers the same products about 15-20% cheaper. So that would take my 7+K down to 6++K. Every little bit...

Oh and they couldn't find all the blood work I gave them from my previous doctor...!!

Re: Today's Water Ultrasound

sounds great Kara!
also some pharmacies will work with you, there is a program you can sign up for for free and get discounts off your meds. I think it was called prescription RX.

Re: Today's Water Ultrasound

Well if the Doctor was young couldn't he at least be HOT ? Who needs a young nerd :) lol j/k

Kara, sounds like your water/saline sono went very well. Lining is always thin around cd 6 if the follies aren't mature. Looks like you probably have another week to go until O time. Keep using that monitor ! I am so glad, he is doing an early progesterone test and putting you on suppositories. I think that's a huge savior for a lot of pregnancies.

The suppositories do a lot more than just help increase the progesterone levels they also block NK cells and help with immune issues. I think every woman who has suffered a miscarriage, should be put on suppositories.

Progesterone-like steroid medication has a variety of effects on the immune system. This type of medication

Blocks inflammation that can lead to scarring and damage to the placenta
Blocks the T cells and the B cells (lymphocytes) that can cause rejection of the placenta
Blocks the natural killer cells from releasing factors such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF) that can damage the placenta and the lining of the uterus
Prevents lymphocytes from wandering into the placenta, sticking there and doing damage
Causes an increase in HCG production by the placenta, and HCG and progesterone block the killing power of NK cells
Prevents prostaglandin production by the uterus and stops contractions from occurring
Causes the cervix to produce a cervical plug that is rich in antibodies, which prevent germs and viruses from gaining access to the baby and the placenta
