ok i might want to change prenatals eventually...

1. which ones do you take??
2. how big are they? (i want a small pill)

as you know - i take:

Target Brand - they are large'ish...if you've ever seen the Pepto pills (NOT chewable - the actual pills) - they're just about that size.

I have EXTREME stomach issues (ibs, ulcers) and they do NOT bother my stomach. I take them with dinner to help with that as well..

I know, I know.... But I'm not taking any.

I need to find a good, small one - preferably a gelcap that doesn't upset my stomach.

Prenate Elite

They never bothered my stomach and I think they have a stool softener.
The are not small but not huge either.

When I was pregnant the doctor said I could take Fintstone chewables and 400 mcg Folic Acid - everything else made me puke.

Now I take One-a-Day Womens and 400 mcg Folic Acid

2. how big are they? (I want a small pill)

Flintstone Chewables were small - and yummy and reminded me of my childhood . The Folic Acid was as tiny as the St. Josephs Chewable Aspirin. I don't even know when I swallow it. I guess I would describe the One-a-Day Womens as "regular" oval shaped vitamin size? I think they are kinda thick and big.

Now I take Target brand. But I WAS taking Prenate-DHA when I was pregnant. They have a built in stool softener and they were gel-cap. Unfortunately they were also enormous.

PrimaCare One... It's a soft gel pill. I don't think it's that big, but you may think so. It doesn't bother my stomach at all. I take it in the morning on an empty stomach, but my Dr last night said I can take it with food if I'd like

PrimaCare Advantage - it's a dual pill - a tablet at night and a gelcap in the morning. The tablet isn't that huge, but the gelcap is on the larger side (it could be a problem if you have trouble swallowing pills - I don't). They do, however, have a rather pleasent vanilla taste to them, so if they do get stuck going down, all you taste is vanilla.

I also take 1 mg of folic acid each night with my prenatal.

I took the PrimaCare gel pill when I was pg - I think that it was a little big though...

I'm taking CVS brand now & it's definitely smaller, but it's not a gel tab. I don't have them with me, but I think that they're about 3/4" long...

I am taking PreCare Conceive. It is by prescription and they are diamond shaped and yellow. I guess they are kind of big. I have taken a multivitamin forever so the size doesn't bother me.

I have major issues taking large pills.. I usually throw up afterwards...

My old gyno prescribed me Prenate DHA... They are Blue soft gel pills and go down sooo easy!!!! They are a little big, but with water or juice you wouldn't even know it!!!!

Prenate DHA Prenatal Vitamins...

My insurance covers them so I only pay $5 for a 90 day supply!

Side note... They also smell nice! Almost like a very slight vanilla smell!

I take Target pre-natals...I feel they're fairly easy to swallow.

PrimaCare One. They are kinda big, but they are gel-tabs and don't have that awful vitamin smell/taste, they're easy to take.
