Tipping Garbage Men (when you pay for garbage service)
I know this has been talked about already, but I pay for my garbage service (I live in Bay Shore). I pay 25 bucks a month...do I still tip the garbagemen? They have strict rules, only 3 cans at a time....I have to pay for special pick up, etc...

Everyone pays for garbage pickup either directly like you do or through taxes, so I would give them something.

We give them $50 per garbage man. So we give $150, they really cart away a lot of my husband's work stuff, so we alwasy give extra!

i think she means that she lives in a private community and pays an incorporated village tax in addition to the township. regardless, i would still tip them. we plan to give $40 or 50.
