time for annual review- need opinions

I work in the health field in private practice.
There are several people that hold the same position as me in my office. I am the highest paid, most experienced, certified & the longest employed by this office.
We all get reviewed in January. I had a great year, our production is up, my doctor produced the most. We completed more large cases than ever before. I get tons of positive feedback from patients via email surveys & cards/notes that are sent to me.
I never miss work & I'm there with a smile everyday.

Here's the thing, my employer would like me to believe I've hit the glass ceiling because I earn much more than other woman in my office & many other people in my field.
My employer is offering a 4.4% increase to some of the people that earn less than me. My offer is a 3.5% increase yet my performance & production was higher.
Do you think I should fight this or just go with it because I'm already earning much more than my peers?

looking for all input here! Thanks!

Re: time for annual review- need opinions

Even though you may hold the same position as several other people in your office, you make more because you deserve more. You have higher credentials and more experience. You have worked hard for and earned what you get. This should not limit you in any way. The argument that you should receive less of a raise because of others is ridiculous. The only one this benefits is your employer. I would fight for what I think I deserve. If they refuse to budge, you may not have a choice. However, you would have presented your side with logical explanations as to why you feel the way you do. Who knows. Maybe, they are just trying to see what they can get away with. Good luck.

I agree with the previous poster.]

Make a case for your MERIT-based raise! (that's assuming they base it, at least partially, on merit. Or do they just call it a cost-of-living increase?)
