is one thing I do not agree wih. It does such a disservice to your kids to do this. Show them how to fight their own battles. I think there has too be a balance between self esteem and respect. Time and a place for everything

I agree with this. I find it very sad.
It is almost like parents now try so hard to be friends with their children, rather than parents.
