THought I was having a dr appt today - a little bummed... - Update!!
So - I tested positive on Monday and called OB Tuesday morning. I have some health issues that I am under a doctor's care for, so I wanted to be seen sooner than later so I could fill in my other doctor. I was given an appt this morning.
Some appt - dr wasn't even in yet. All that happened was I saw the lab tech and she drew blood - she didn't even know why - I had to tell her. She didn't even take a pee test. That was it - I am bummed.
Now I just have to wait for official results which will hopefulyl come tomorrow and then I guess, they'll make me an appt.
I was so excited and went with my list of questions and everything and NADA!
Update - So, Dr. left a congratulations message this morning confirming that the bloodwork was positive! OK, now I'm in real shock - lol!
She also said I should come and pick up the pre-natal on Monday - she said it's a newer one that you mix in water and no nausea or constipation - sounds good to me!!

i'm so sorry you are upset about it....it stinks that you had expectations that were not met! 
most doctors will not see you until you are 7 or 8 weeks pregnant...as there is not a whole heck of a lot they can 'do' for you. They can do a sono - but if you don't see what you are 'supposed' to see at the right time - it can cause more trauma than it's really worth (this is coming from someone who experienced this exact issue - so TRUST ME on it)...

I didn't see my actual doctor until almost 8 weeks - I did have blood drawn 3 times before that, though - just to confirm that my numbers were going up (they started out REALLY low)

I understand what you're saying - I guess I was just really looking for confirmation that I really am truly PG - still hard to believe - lol - and answer some questions - I feel like I'm in limbo not doing certain things waiting to hear certain answers to questions...

that is why they took your blood! they SHOULD give you a definitive answer tomorrow.
the tinkle test you can do at home is pretty much the same thing they do there...that might be why they didn't have you do it....but i don't know..

YEah - the woman was like - well didn't you do a pee test at home? I told her yeah - but I'm thinking to myself- yeah - but isn't yours different and special?

 i thought the same thing and was told that the tests that they have in the office are VERY similar to the ones that they have.... i was like - but aren't your tests like superman tests or something?
