Those with the Empire Plan health insurance (govt employees)
For those of you with The Empire Plan (Govt employees), how much was your hospital bill after giving birth?
Please share if you were at a public/private hospital and if it was normal delivery/c-section/complications.
DH and I are just trying to gauge how much we will have to pay out of pocket!

I have empire and all I'll have to pay when I deliver is our $500 in-patient co-pay.
Does it say on your card?

We didn't pay anything......I had 3 L and D visits prior to my actual delivery and there were no out of pocket expenses for them either...

Empire UHC and never paid anything, either time, at Winthrop. I paid the doctor for the cord blood extraction for DD1 (couldn't do it for DD2 due to SUA).
