those with bad m/s-- toothpaste question?
If anyone else had trouble with toothpaste, did you eventually find one that did not make you gag? I am usually one of those people who brings a toothbrush everywhere and brushes after meals or if I need to freshen up. Now, I gag as soon as I begin to brush my teeth. Sometimes it's just the idea of putting a toothbrush in my mouth, but I think that the toothpaste is a big part of it. This morning I ended up wiping off my toothbrush and using almost no toothpaste, just so I could brush a little. Did anyone find a toothpaste they could tolerate better than others?

Vanilla mint. I also had to get vanilla mint mouthwash too. I never really threw up but I was nauseous & gagged a lot.

i don't think it was the toothpaste for me - but everytime i would brush my teeth I would gag.

I don't know if I can do vanilla. We use those scented garbage bags and all of a sudden the smell of them is making me sick. They have a vanilla smell. It is weird because I used to have so many vanilla candles.

oooh that is no good then. Vanilla was the only thing NOT making me sick. I even tried lemon b/c people told me it would be OK...yeah not so much for me

That's kind of how I was with my first and the m/s. The simple act of the toothbrush made me gag not the toothpaste...to this day, if I stick a pen in my teeth for a few seconds, I still gag! It's been 6 years already!

I gag every time I brush my teeth. I realized I had to stop using mouthwash and then I started using Crest Sensitive with Scope I think it's called? It tastes great and doesn't make me gag nearly as much, sometimes not at all if I'm lucky. Good luck!

I don't have m/s but I still gag when I brush.
I don't know if this will help but my friend only uses baking soda to brush her teeth, even when not pg. She says it's crazy how they put sugar in toothpaste.
Anyway, just put a little baking soda in your hand & mix with enough water to make a paste.

With PG #1, I threw up just about every morning after/during the toothbrushing process. Try different flavors, if mint makes you gag, try vanilla or fruity. There is always mouthwash! Good luck

I had the same exact problem. I bought an electric toothbrush and found that it helped tremendously!! Good Luck! I remember that it was the worst feeling.....

I had the same problem with this pregnancy and what I had to do was use my daughters toothpaste she has the kids toothpast that taste like bubblegum or watermelon and that help a bit

i never have m/s, but toothpaste made me gag and still makes me so dizzy. ive been using Colgate "Kiss Me Mint" - its their new magenta flavor and it isnt as bad as other flavors for me...

yes electric toothbrush works for me as well, I brush much quicker and use less paste so maybe thats the reason...
