Those who use Earths Best Stage 2 food

do you ever give DC the ones w/ grain mixed in? If so, do you solely give it as bfast or dinner or would you give as lunch?

We are going away for 2 wks and i cant make DS's foods there so i am bringing jars. Just trying to get a feel for what to bring.

He eats a jar of stage 2 fruit and 2.5Tbls of oatmeal for bfast and a jar of stage 2 veg w/ 2.5 Tbls of oatmeal for din

I stopped feeding DS cereal once I started feeding him the food with the grains mixed in. So for ex. one day he'll have the gerber stage 2 banana rasberry with oatmeal and for dinner tonight he had the carrot beef and corn which has grain in it. I found it much easier on me

My ped still wants me to give oatmeal 2x a day, even if he is having a "dinner" puree. It's for the iron in the cereal, and since you are BFing your ped might want you to as well (since iron stores in the BM run out).

I used to use the breakfast ones for breakfast and the grains and fruit ones sometimes for lunch too!

I don't use the ones with the grain in it. If I did I think maybe as a lunch though.

FYI......Tomorrow only @ BRU with coupon online, 20 stage 1 or 2 EB jars for $10. The stage 2 jars are usually .89 each so .50 is a great price.

I gave DD the ones with grain in it for breakfast and lunch. Earth's Best sells their rice cereal, oatmeal and the mixed grain cereal in packages like instant oatmeal. I found them very convenient for travel.

Every time I gave Derek the fruits with the mixed grains, granola or yogurt from Earth Best or Gerber he throws up It just doesnt sit right in his stomach.

I usually give a fruit and cereal in the morning.

i give DD the ones w/ grains for lunch. i give her oatmeal w/ breakfast and dinner along w/ a jar of stage 2 food. if i were to give a stage 2 w/ grains w/ bkfst along w/ oatmeal, i feel like it's not enough fruit/veggie. i also think that just a stage 2 jar alone (w/ or w/out grain) is not enough on its own for bkfst or dinner. i like the meals w/ grains for lunch because i feel like it's more filling. some days she has a straight up fruit and/or veggie for lunch, but i've come to like the grains for lunchtime. i would bring the envelope packs of the earth's best cereal for your trip.

DS never got oatmeal or rice cereal as he hated it. I gave him the earths best with the grain for breakfast every morning. I have a friend who used those for every meal.

I think those are thick enough to give by itself. I've only used one or 2 of them so far, but i think for lunch or dinner its fine.

For the am meal, i usually use 2 1/2tbs of oatmeal with probiotics in it , mixed with a fruit. Then during the day a veggie or fruit and then later in the day a veggie or fruit/yogurt.
