Those of you who say you are irregular...
how exactly do you define that?
a) Are you sort of like: 27, 29, 25, 31 days...
or
b) Are you more: 35, 60, 22 days....
Or is it something else entirely?

personally I'm anywhere from 29-35 days - I consider that pretty regulr. Some of the girls here are very off 50+ days sometimes.

Well I'd say that irregular cycles can be defined in different ways
But anytime you're cycles length is jumping around on a consistent basis ... and/or there is no "pattern" to them ... then I'd consider it irregular
I have never had a timeframe where my periods were the same 2 months in a row... when I was younger I used to skip months at a time w/out a period ... only to go back to 32 days, then up to 40+ , then to skip again , etc
So I'm definitely what you'd call irregular
BUT if someone was having cycles that differed only from 28, 30, 32, 34 days, well that is not what I'd consider irregular.. a diff. a few days here or there is perfectly normal

mine are 40-50+ days long, which is definitely irregular (and anovulatory)
59 42 48 etc...

I just read in an article that says anything over 3 months is irregular. I remember my doctor telling me that if you get a period every 3 months and it stays this way, its just your cycle and you shouldnt worry.
I am going on 6 months now and I would consider that extremely irregular!

Personally, I can have a cycle that goes like this- 36, 35, 32, 34, 28, 39, 51, 42, 28 and wonder what the heck is going on!

I think it's mostly when you have NO IDEA when you are going to get AF.

I have no idea when to expect my period.. there truly is NO schedule. Some months I skip.. sometimes I dont get it for MONTHS other times I get it twice in a month... Its crazy

I was irregular after coming off the pill in 2002. In fact I wasn't getting AF at all - for 8 months!!! I had taken Provera a few times to induce AF, then magically got PG.
After having Andrew, my periods have been like clockwork adn very regular. Every 28-30 days with out fail! Hopefully this will help when it comes time for #2!
