This day just keeps getting worse...
Our move is coming up on Monday. My mother is supposed to be coming with us and staying with us for a week. We found out yesterday that my nephews, whom she babysat for on Wednesday, had a virus, now diagnosed as coxsackie. My nephews doc told my sister that it would be best for ALL of them to stay from us (my sis, BIL, and nephews).
NOW-what should I do about my Mom??? Do I/we stay away from her too?? 
I swear, between this, packing, and the 8,000 phone calls from the mortgage broker, I'm ready to crack.

I'd call your ped and see what the chances of your mom getting the coxsackie and if she can be a carrier. If those chances are slim, then I'd go along with your original plans

sorry.. i would call your peds and tell them and see what they say about your mom.. Maybe if your mom stays away from your nephew and family and you and see if by monday she shows signs of it..

dana, we just had coxsackie in my house. ds had a low-grade fever for 2 days, and then a junky cough and cold type symptoms. he had some blisters in his mouth but nothing terrible. he had all of one blister on his hand. as far as us, dh had really bad malaise/body aches for a day and that was it. i didn't get anything.
honestly - and this is just me, i realize it may not be the more popular opinion - i would just go ahead as originally planned. the worst thing that could possibly happen is that, in a week's time or so, some or all of you will get coxsackie. it's not the end of the world, and chances are at least some of you are immune. i wouldn't sweat it.

I just spoke to my sister and my Mom, they all have upset stomachs and "issues". I can't risk moving to a new state, new house, no pediatrician/doc and DD getting sick or us also. I will call the ped. tomorrow and hope for the best but it looks like our plans have to be re-evaluated. What's worse, is that I can't say goodbye to most of my family now.

Oh Dana, I'm so sorry....moving is the worst & then all this added stress on top of it... I'd see what your ped. says...

i'm sorry you're having a rough time - i'm not sure what you should do, can you ask your ped what they think? i'd hate for the baby to get sick during this busy time for you too
