things to do in the city with a 14 month old?
he's not walking yet, if that matters.
DH and i are going into the city next Sunday (yes, i know it's the marathon, that's why we're going ) and i'm trying to plan out our day. i want to do as many indoor activities as possible, as opposed to outdoor, in case it's very cold.
any ideas? we'd like to stay in the central park area.

Ummm, the CP zoo, but that is outside...
If you want to go to FAO or the M&M store, but those aren't really close and catching a cab on marathon day is impossible.
Let me think

there's a childrens museum on the upper west side...i heard it is great. you can hit the museum of natural history after (also on west side of park) and maybe do the central park zoo if it is warmer.

Re: things to do in the city with a 14 month old?
We brought DS last month. We walked through Central Park, went to the Museum of Nat History (he fell asleep in there even with all that noise ), walked to FAO. You MUST put him on the giant keyboard, B did not want to get off of it he loved it! We also did the Titanic exhibit, but beware, they do not let you bring him in the stroller, you must hold him.
We were going to do the central park zoo if it was not raining.
DS was really just content looking at the lights-and took 3 naps while we were walking and didn't even realize he was sleeping.

The children's museum on the upper west side is great!
would that be good for a non-walking 14 month old? i would love to try that!

I took DS before he could walk and he still enjoyed it.
