the school is got to be kidding me right! william floyd!
on weds. 8:15 to 10:45
on thurs. 815 to 10:30
and the best one ever!
friday: 815: to 9:05 that is not even an hour! it takes me 45 min just to get her going!!! and now i found out if she does not go she can't get her yearbook! bull i paid for that in sept! this is out of control this school this year!

janet my district does the same thing the last few days of school- the last day the kids come in at 9:15 and leave by 10:30.... legally we have to have a certain numbers of days in school, even if its for a short time.. but those 1/2 days are for teachers to prep and get all of their clerical work etc done before summer. I know it stinks for parents.... But you are not the only district!!!

the district I grew up in always had an hour the last day...and from what i remember, everyone pretty much showed up....

half days yes but for less then an hour! come on that is stupid. like i said it takes me 45 min just to get her up!

I think Northport is the same. My mom drives for the district, brings the kids in, turns around only to go get them again.

it maybe be stupid but it is what it is... the kids come in, I give out awards and report cards and talk briefly about the year, wish them luck and then off they go!!! the teachers have to stay, its not like we get to leave.. I WISH I was one of the kids!!!!

That's exactlty how it is in my school..... we have to stay the rest of the day also

I agree. Why bother? We had 3 half days to end the year, but that was at least manageable. This schedule is a joke. I feel for you Janet and the other parents.
