The Place Furniture **BEWARE**
Table number 7 got delivered today and AGAIN its damaged... I cant take it anymore - Its ridicolus - And the store doesnt seem to care at all... What a joke - I spoke to so many managers and they just dont care.... I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE..... They wont refund any money back for the damages and they will only order it again - one last time and thats it - If its not to me liking they will take the set back... I love my DR set - I dont want to pick another one out... I AM SOOOO MAD....

you should report them to the BBB! I am really sorry you're having so many problems with them! 
we just got our couch delivered from them in the beginning of July and THANKFULLY had no issues.

You did read that correctly.. 7th...
I call and call they just dont care - they actaully said they reserve the right to deliver damaged furniture and have them send a repair person to fix it... HELLO - This wasnt a clearance item... I didnt get it on a discount of any... YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO DELIVER DAMAGED FURNITURE..... I am soo mad right now.....
I want to go there and have a complete fit -

You need to go there and demand your money back. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. After the 2nd time they delivered it damaged, that would be the last time.

How did you pay for it? If you put it on your credit card maybe you could dispute the charges? I know my credit card co. said you have upto 6 months once a charge is posted to dispute it.
Seriously the 2nd table would've been the last one I would've allowed them to deliver to me. I cant believe they have the nerve to refuse a refund!

same here. I had heard some good things about them. Im definitely not going there anymore. Even though Im sure not everyone has this experience, the fact that they are capable of delivering 7 damaged tables and offer no refund says something about how they run their business!! Stuff like this really irritates me, Im sure it must be so frustrating for you

Go get them. Get the dates of all the deliveries. Tell them how many times you were saddled at home waiting for the 7 damaged pieces of furniture. Tell them, that they will be out of business soon if they continue to operate this way.
Call the credit card company. Let them know that they did not hold up their end of the bargain. Get a supervisor on the phone and get the credit account reversed and closed.
You do not have possession of the furniture as agreed on your receipt. What does your receipt say? I betcha it says something like goods delivered in new condition..etc..
Lastly, if they still don't want to cooperate, tell them you will be reporting them to one of the news stations that investigates corrupt businesses. Also mention that even though it won't matter too much since they have so many complaints, but you will report them to the BBB. Bring the BBB report with you when you go down there.
Be as loud and obnixious as you need to be. The other patrons in the store will be scared off.

We had a VERY similar experience with Rooms Unlimited. We finally were able to get this resolved after 6 months when I contacted Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs and several of the News Channels that have the help people.
Furniture Companies are notorious with their bad business practices.

my problems with rooms unlimited never ended, we still have problems but we just gave up.

I went there tonite - a guy there said he was VP - was useless - Once I started talking he said oh lets go into the back office - There were people shopping - I just talked louder.. I hope someone heard me... We will see what happens next Saturday when tey deliver #8 - This is the LAST table - Next step I will be packing up my china and they will come and get it.....

that's CRAZY. i ordered a coffee table on sale from pottery barn and there was a scratch on 1 of the legs. i called and complained and they credited me 10% w/o questions.
i would keep calling to complain (manager of store and corporate). tell them that you have missed work on several days because you had to wait for the delivery and that you CANNOT miss work again. DEMAND a refund and file a report w/ the BBB. i know it is hard in a situation like this but i have found if i remian calm and and play the woe is me card, people are more likely to listen and compromise.

I have been going throught this for 9 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!
We ordered our living room, dining room and bedroom furniture from them all in November. Dining room set came and china cabinet glass was scratched. They replaced it immediately and was OK. Sofa came and one section was falling off. They came immediately and fixed it.
So, when our bedroom set first came (I ordered it in November and it finally came in April), and EVERYTHING was damaged, I gave them the benefit of the doubt of replacing it, since everything else had worked out. All the replacement pieces came in various times and took months, so I kept having to take off from work to get exchanges, and every exchange piece was worse looking than the original! We finally went down there last week and complained and they immediately said they would come pick up the stuff and refund our money. So, I'm ****** because now I have to take off again this Wednesday again for them to pick it up, and I loved that stupid set and I have to try and find another one...
I feel your pain.
ETA They did not give me a hard time when I asked for my money back. In fact, after we complained, the first thing the manager said was, "So, you want us to pick it up and give you a refund?"

I have to say...I bought furniture from The Place and had no problems whatsoever. They actually even delivered the furniture earlier than expected. However, your situation is ridiculous. I would be a lunatic if this happened to me (I had a similar situation with Levitz a long time ago). Good luck and hope this all works to your benefit soon!
